About

Born Michael Anthony Benson Jr., a birth certificate states that his life began on January 25, 2001, on the beaches of Melbourne, Florida. By the age of two, he was moved across the country to the scorching plains of Las Vegas, Nevada, where he resides to this day. However, if you ask him, he’ll tell you his life started when he discovered his passion in the ink of a pen. The American novelist often explores bleak worlds that depict grief, self-destruction, isolation, but more importantly, human resilience, artistic influence, and love. He carves characters into pages who negotiate their morals while going head-to-head with forces of nature and sometimes the supernatural. As a fiction writer, he firmly believes it’s a story’s job to find the right person to tell it when an author is lost in the mystical lands of inspiration. Since 2021, Michael has provided care to the sick and injured as an EMT. His experience as a caregiver allows him to witness the circle of life, from first cries to last breaths. He appreciates the trivial things, whether it be holding the door open for a stranger or a quiet sunset after an exhausting day of work. He enjoys eating Blue Bell ice cream on the couch with his fiancée, photography, strolling the aisles of Barnes and Noble with a coffee, the entire month of October, gaming, and reading classic literature.
